Entirely unrelated, Madonna was interviewed on local Detroit radio today. I so hope she tours!

My favorite bit is this, from Martin Wood, in the Yearbook section: "I'll tell you honestly what I'm going to miss. I'm going to miss the core cast, because there is no replacing carter, Daniel, Teal', and O'Neill. I really feel like that. I miss O'Neill a lot, and I miss that core cast together." Me, too!
It's that time again.

Download 28 pages of scans including (among many bad puns):
* Four pages of the intro stuff that includes some (well known) SGA casting spoilers
* Judge For Yourself - interview with Chris Judge

Work was tough today. Very, very. Will be tomorrow morning, as well. I am looking forward to tomorrow afternoon's FL trip in a big way.

The new Starburst magazine has interviews with Paul McGillion and Don S. Davis. (Note: I haven't read the Davis interview yet but the McGillion interview definitely has spoilers for the 2nd half of s3 of SGA.)

Download 10 pages of scans - zip, ~10.5mb, right click/save, comments are lovely

The trivia is fun! Here are those scans on their own (though also included in the zip file): SG-1 Trivia! SGA Trivia!

  • I've done nothing of note today. Unless staying in bed until 2:15 is of note. Gooooooood times.

  • Help! A while back, someone posted a link to a site for an orphanage that takes in kids at high risk for trafficking. I think someone around LJ runs the orphanage (or is responsible, in some way, for raising funds). Does anyone have a link to the site I'm talking about? ETA: Found! It's [livejournal.com profile] viggorlijah's riverkids. Thanks [livejournal.com profile] copracat!

  • Does anyone else watch Top Chef? I'm about ready to stab Betty with one of her knives. God. I actually liked her in the beginning but she's a nightmare.

  • HP fic rec: Splinter by ?? (Harry/Snape, NC-17) Harry's still determined to save the world. Snape's determined to accept it as it is. This currently tops my list of HP holiday fic exchange stories. It's incredibly intense and an extremely unique concept.

  • Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] cranberryink for my first holiday card of the season!

  • I'm waiting to find out when I'll get a copy of my Jason Momoa photo op picture and, still high from the Burbank con, I'm considering next October's BSG con and August's Stargate con in Chicago. (Chicago's an easy sell as I can drive from Ann Arbor.)

  • TV Zone, Starburst, and Sci-Fi Magazine all showed up this week so I come bearing scans including interviews with Edward James Olmos, Michael Hogan (Col. Tigh), Jim Menard (SG-1), and James Callis (Gaius Balta) and photos of Jensen Ackles, Jamie Bamber, and Grace Park (from the Sci-Fi "Sexy in '07" list).

The new Stargate Magazine arrived (with a "free tattoo" sticker on the front that I laboriously scraped off because it was tragically placed over David Hewlett's face). For those who are wondering, it was a First Prime of Apophis tattoo which means I officially have my halloween costume. I'll have to manage without the headgear.

Download 19 pages of scan here. zip file, ~24mb, right click/save, comments are delightful

The scans include interviews with David Hewlett, Jason Momoa, and Amanda Tapping along with some other assorted goodies. I haven't read through all of the articles yet but it's safe to assume you may stumble on spoilers.

PS. [livejournal.com profile] kiffle! Creation tells me that Flanigan has rejoined the NJ con!
The new issue of Dreamwatch has a fun little article written on the set of SG-1 (though it's a bit bittersweet reading all of these interviews completed prior to the news about the cancellation.) I liked hearing Amanda Tapping's take on the dynamic between Carter and Vala. (Note: Season 10 spoilers.)

One more scan... )

I left work early to meet the plumber who took care of the pilot light on my water heater (and taught me how to do it myself) and fixed a dripping kitchen faucet. $79 that's totally worth it in exchange for a hot shower and no more drip...drip...drip all night long.

It's Sci-Fi Friday! And my DVR guide tells me that Sci-Fi is airing the SG-1 Behind the Scenes again at 5pm today and then "200" at 6pm. Also on my agenda is season 1 of Farscape.

  • For someone who hates change, I'm not all that bothered to hear Pluto is no longer classified as a planet. It's just a change in classification. I'd be much more freaked out if I was told that Pluto was never acutally there at all.

  • House gag reel. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Go. Now. HAHAHA!

  • 368 caps of Joe Flanigan in Thought Crimes from [livejournal.com profile] abby_i. He's so hot. It's just...wow.

  • "The Nox" was on tonight. The Nox are awesome. Truly.

  • Today is my mother's 20th anniversary with my step-father. Twenty years. My mother was widowed at 31 and few things make me happier than knowing she found a second someone to spend her life with.

  • I'm having issues with hot water. My home was just inspected 5 weeks ago and the water heater was given the all clear so I turned up the heat knob on the heater. Does anyone know how long it usually takes that to kick in?

  • The new Starlog magazine has a 5 page interview with RDA. He's super. And pictures with his daughter do funny things to my insides. Warnings for s3 spoilers.

New issue of Stargate and there's all sorts of SGA and SG-1 goodness!

Download 20 pages of scans - zip file, ~25mb, right click/save, comments are lovely

List of scanned articles (includes casting spoilers) )

This new issue almost makes up for the fact that Sci-Fi is having audio problems in my area and I can only watch SG-1 and SGA if I'm not all that interested in sound.

Note: Both articles include spoilers for the current seasons of SGA and SG-1. But it's worth it. Shanks! Flanigan! SEEDY HOTEL ROOM!

Stargate Magazine - June/July issue - zip file, 31mb, right click save, please comment

The next issue includes an interview with Michael Shanks! Eeeep!
The May/June issue is upon us and I come bearing scans. This time I decided not to be a selfish little SGA lover and scanned the Christopher Judge cover story as well as the SGA stuff.

Zip file includes:
"First Stop Saturn" (Hee! First stop Saturn. That's me. Hopefully Sheppard hops on first.)
"Hewlett Moonlights"
"Inner Turmoil" - Interview with Jamie Ray Newman aka Lt. Cadman
"He'll Be the Judge" - Interview with Chris Judge
"End Of the Rainbow" - Interview with Rainbow Sun Francks

Download here - zip file, 12.5mb, right click/save, please comment

ETA: The 10th page in the file is not downloading correctly. An alternate link for that one page is here.
I'm torn between a desire to catch up on BSG so I can stop avidly avoiding spoilers and a desire to draw this out as long as possible because it's so much fun to have episode after episode waiting for me!

The March issue of Dreamwatch was on my desk when I got to work this morning and it has features on both SG-1 and BSG. I scanned both and read neither - mostly because I don't watch SG-1 and the magazine noted S2 spoilers in the BSG article. But here they are for anyone who's interested.
