I do love the EW year end issue. Always have. And this year there are a hella lot of tributes to Justin, Lance, Brit and the Justin/Brit breakup. Overview- bad press for Brit, solid press for JRT, and just a bunch of laughs at Lance's expense.

Highlights:

1) Top Singles: Cry Me A River- JRT Laddie gets the blues and, on this admirably wierd mix of falsetto and murmured chant, he truly sounds like he means it. Could breaking his heart be Britney's lasting contribution to music?

2) Lance is all over the 2002 timeline.

February 21- Spacing Out: This just in! 'Nsync's Lance Bass is negotiaing a deal in which he'll raise $20 million to hitch a ride on a Russion spaceship in outer space. The next day, Russian authorities deny discussions. More to come on this still developing story...

May 31- Bass Gets a Pass: 'Nsync's Lance Bass says he has won the preliminary go-ahead from doctors to become the first pop star in space. No one has the heart to tell him that the docs thought he'd be staying up there.

July 9- Launch Lad: The Russian Aviation and Space Agency confirms it is in talks to facilitate the star trek of astronaut hopeful Lance Bass. Bass reveals he chose RASA over NASA after a chat with pal Scooby-Doo.

August 8- Launch Lad Grounded: Russian space authorities say plans for Lance Bass' space shot may be scrapped, due to his sponsors' slowness in ponying up the cash. Bass' frantic calls to Anna Nicle go unreturned.

September 3- Lance Bass: Cosmo-not: Despite weeks of training, the Russian officials tell Lance Bass nyet when the boy can't cough up the $20 million fare. In space, can anyone hear you weep into your pillow?

3) Well, of course Justin & Britney are included in the "Broken Hearts Club." They don't know anything we don't. So it's all pretty useless and repetitive and old.

My one comment on all this? I do hope that Lance goes up in April...in ten years...sometime...anytime. Because he really wants it and it could actually happen. Maybe. And then I hope he'll invite me over for coffee and tell me all about it.
My wonderful IT guys in San Diego sent me a Photoshop CD and it arrived today. *g*

Now I can learn to make pretty icons. And I am very pleased.

So I made a few. Nothing fancy. I'm all out of space for icons, too. But this is fun. And, since our system was down this afternoon, I had nothing better to do. Heh heh heh. Let's see if this works.

***2 edits.
1) Just gotta give [livejournal.com profile] liz_w props for the picture inthe first icon.
2) [livejournal.com profile] clumsygyrl!!! I got my shirt today! And, believe it or not, I had just been thinking that I wish I had it for my cruise. (Those breezy nights.) Thanks for sending back and I'm glad you got the Playbill. :)
So, I think I may skip Suede tomorrow. Maybe. But I need advice. Or something.

It's the last Tuesday. So, yeah, I want to be there. But I also want to go to see RENT tomorrow night. I can do both. But it involves busting home after the show (if I get tickets) to change and pretty myself up.

That's not a big deal except that I have to catch a 6am train to DC for a big client meeting on Wednesday morning. Chances are, if I go to Suede, I'm not sleeping at all.

I also, at some point, have to put a list together and start pack for the cruise because Sunday will come sooner than I think.

So, part of me says to skip RENT, go home after work and then go out to Suede and just deal with a hellish Wednesday when it comes. Another part of me says to just go to the show and get a good night's sleep because could tomorrow be any better than last week?

The last, little part of me, says that I should just skip it all. Not see Joey in RENT again. Cut my losses at 17 performances. Be happy/amazed/grateful/awed at the experiences I've had over the past few months and let it end now without all of the drama and tears and angst that's been pulling at my heart.

What did I say last night? Oh, yeah. He's a fucker.

I actually have a love/hate relationship with someone who doens't know my last name.

[livejournal.com profile] joeysfatone and [livejournal.com profile] luckilycrazy321- I'm thinking of you both this week. If you were legal I'd buy you a lot of beer.
