Saturn comes back from Washington...

I'm tired as all hell and I have to wake up pretty soon but tomorrow will be crazy so I want to remember this now before I forget.

1) Thank goodness I was prepared for that meeting. It's nice when you know that you know your shit.

2) Brianne and I had a whole bunch of hours to tour around DC. White House, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial. We even stopped by GW. They've changed so many things on campus since the last time I was there. I bought GW visors. Brianne and I are now visor twins. *g* (Picture below. Because I was very punchy on the train ride back.)

3) On the train ride down I called Z100 to request BMU. For once I got through. And I got to introduce "Landslide" for the Hi-Noon Countdown. My conversation with the DJ on a crowded Acela Express train was pure comedy.

4) dj_writes and nyborn! Squeeeeee! I adore you both. Today was a treat and a pleasure. Dinner was wonderful and I appreciated the two drive-bys of the Capitol. Next time we have to race to Union Station, let's take the State of the Union address into account. ;) And look how cute our picture is! (PS- I'm working on the details for my 1-900 number.)

5) So many Joey recs for his birthday. I'm going to have to go back later and read up to make sure I haven't missed any JoeC.

6) Brianne and I sat with a very "unique" guy on the train. Turns out, he's friends with one of 'Nsync's stylists. Which is particularly intersting because he doesn't recognize the guys by name. Or any other pop culture references, for that matter. "Who's Justin Timberlake?" "American Idol? What? Huh?" But he had little bits of random gossip which entertained us on the ride.

Is David Grohl playing drums in a video for Queens of the Stone Age? And what's the deal with that?

Saw JRT on MTV news this A.M. Nice way to start the day. He was answering questions about the media's interest in his love life. He said that the public wants to know what celebrities are up to when we're not watching and that dealing with the bullshit is just part of being in public life. He also defended Xtina when asked about her current image. I can. not. wait. for that tour.

I can't find 'Nsync valentines. Harry Potter? Check. Britney? Check. Sponge Bob Squarepants? Check. But no 'Nsync. I knew I should have stocked up last year. Has anyone seen them around?

JC was #8 on TRL today. It's better than #9 or #10. Obviously. But I keep thinking he'll be a bit higher with so many of us voting.

I got a big box in the mail today from sorority headquarters. I thought maybe it was gift. I mean, it was a pretty big, odd shaped box. But it was just materials for a workshop I'm facilitating at The University of Rhode Island over Grammy weekend. Not quite what I was hoping for.

Thanks to newdaydawning, I learned that Tim McGraw is going to be at Nassau Colliseum on 4/2. I must, must, must go. This is huge! Tim McGraw! At Nassau Colliseum! Does everyone realize how wonderful Tim McGraw is? Very, very wonderful. Both the music and the man.

2 questions...

1) Does anyone know when "Work It" debuts?

2) What's the deal with Orlando Bloom? He seems to make a lot of people swoon. Maybe it's because I haven't seen LOTR. Either one. He's in that, right? But all elfy and shit, he just doesn't do it for me. Is he hot in his human form?

I'm wondering if I can just roll over on the couch and sleep here all night.
