I'm back in NY and, if all goes well, I won't have to fly for 4 months. I counted back and figured out that it's been more than 8 years since I've gone 4 months without flying. Much with the happiness over this. Although, 4 months seems like a very long time to pretty much stay in one place. Knowing me, something will come up before then.

Still strugling with the Joey birthday fic. It is just not working out how I'd like. It's one bitch of a story. But I did watch the post-grammy AH clips on the plane. I love the interview with JC where you can see Tiny/Mike standing behind him. What an interesting dynamic.

And I see that EW featured Suede as their Hot Spot in the March 14th issue.

Suede, a cozy two-level lounge in NYC's Chelsea area that packs in the A-listers. WHO: Justin Timberlake, Brittany Murphy, Heather Graham, John Corbett, and Leonardo DiCaprio are just a few who have dropped by. (It probably helps that the well-connected producer Timaland is co-owner.) MUSIC MEN: Celeb DJ's like Mark Ronson and Kid Capri keep the party hopping. "We just try to keep the music appealing to everyone," says co-owner Eytan Sugarman. IT MAY BE SMALL, BUT The Soprano's Jamie Lynn Seigler had her engagement party at the club. The Source celebrated cover boy Nelly there, and 'Nsync's Joey Fatone threw his Halloween party at the spot as well. Says Sugarman: "We didn't want one of thos big huge spaces you needed 1,000 people to fill. People in the entertainment industry seem to like calling our place home."

I think it's time to start going back. It's been about two months since I've been there. Break time is over. I'm ready to play again!
I'm having dinner with my ex-boyfriend tonight. I'm going all the way out to Jersey City because I want catfish and he lives by a great catfish place. Or so I tell myself that's the reason I'm going all the way out there. (The trip involves a subway ride and a ride on the PATH train. About an hour door to door.)

I am not interested in dating him again. For many, many, many reasons. But a girl's got needs, you know? Chemistry. If nothing else, we had lots of that.

Oh! And a random encounter this morning. There is a young woman who works at the Hampton Inn where I've spent 3 of the past 5 weeks. When I was checking out this morning I was wearing a sorority t-shirt. Turns out she is a member of the same sorority and we know people in common. (I have a sorority friend who graduated from her school.) It always amazes me when, almost 5 years out of college, the sorority connection still turns up regularly. It's nice.
