my get up and go prefers the couch...

I desperately wanted to stay home today. But now that I'm here...it's not so bad. Mini fires to put out but the day is significantly less bleak than it seemed when my alarm went off at 6am. I think that laziness begets laziness and sitting on my couch for 14 hours yesterday fried my motivation.

I asked an innocent little question last night about picture files on our computers and hot damn am I impressed with us. We are all out of our minds but the insanity seems to be very well organized. I think the record is 22,000+ pictures. Media groups need to come to us for archive photos. I have a feeling that, between us, we've got everything.

Also, since it's the theme for the day, just let people marry whoever the fuck they want. We need to get over ourselves and out of other people's business.

Finally, a very happy birthday to stamplet!

boss' day...

My FL counterpart and I got our boss a large gift basket for Boss' Day. He seem geunuinely touched. So now I feel all warm and fuzzy. He's a good boss. He empowers us and trusts us and makes the company a better place to work for than it would be without him. I'm glad we let him know.

Maybe we can even get him to show his support for marriage freedom.

Well, it turns out that boss' day is tomorrow. But he still enjoyed the gift. Sorry to scare you, dpfreak. :p

ETA: I got candy and other treats in the mail today from mydarkstar. Fun! Fun! Thanks to stubbleglitter for setting this up. Now if only my recipient would e-mail me back with her address. I've got a package all ready to go!

ETA 2: Because I have a bit more to say and I don't feel like subjecting you to endless posts before I cut out for the day. So, the point. The day wasn't bad. I woke up cranky and wanted to sleep in and sit on my couch and play fangirl and avoid work at all costs but things got done and then even more more things got done and now I'm going to have beer. And beer is good.
