I listened to Joe Firstman's "The War of Women" on the way to work today. What a phenomenal CD. I'm officially a fan.

More updates from San Diego. Confirmed that the parents of two different friends lost their houses and another friend's office burned down. Three of my friends are San Diego County fire fighters. They've been working non-stop. This is crazy. I can hardly believe the fires making their way to the 163 and 805. I'm thinking good thoughts for all of you who are in southern California. So scary.

I hear that today is the birthday of the lovely and generous [livejournal.com profile] raedoro. I hope you have a wonderful and sparkly day. You bring so much to this fandom and I wish you all the best in return!
I got a flu shot today. Never bothered before but I really don't want to get the flu this season.

And I came home to wonderful swag from Kare. Hit Clips and 'Nsync ice mints and JoeC postcardy things. Plus a copy of Ocean Drive which will go to Lex since I have my copy from work.

Tonight I should clear off my bookshelf and get ready to move my room tomorrow but I think I'd rather sit here and watch 7th Heaven & the RMA's. Justin and Lance and Tim McGraw? Nice. And is JC presenting, too?

Too bad there's likely to be so much crap in between the people I actually want to see. I like EW's description of the awards show:

"A night in which the 'biggest names in the music industry will celebrate their popularity on radio stations worldwide.' Yay, we're awesome! Hooray for us! Yay!"

[livejournal.com profile] superpana: It looks like Jesus is a freelance writer for Entertainment Weekly. Guy sure gets around.

Also in the "makes me happy" column...I won't be in the office for the rest of the week. Meetings are hectic but I love the variety.

When people are dying and homes are burning up, it's fucking irrelevant that sets from 24 and Leo's newest movie burned down.

The stars may be trapped in Vegas following the RMA's?

Give me a break.

Well, my night is complete.

JC is the most adorable boy in the world )

Justin, JC, and Tim all on stage in the same night. Someone's looking out for me.

And I'll send 3 packs of skittles to anyone who is hit with a burning desire to write JC/Tim. Not one pack. Not two packs. Three.

EDIT: Skittles for Mixedsignal. And Kare. And kittenfishlambs gets a few, too. ;) But there are more to go around!
