Under the guise of business, Cel and I went to a party at Suede tonight co-sponsored by Maxim and Rums of Puerto Rico. Some Marc Anthony thing which I still don't understand but I suppose that, sometimes, comprehension is overrated. It was just a fun, easy night. Open bar, small group of people, and Rosie Perez came and danced with us. We're now self proclaimed fly girls. And we danced to a fun mix of Prince, Justin, and Bel Biv Devoe. It was the perfect end to the weekend. Though it would be even nicer if today was Saturday.

I've been meaning to thank [livejournal.com profile] mickeym, [livejournal.com profile] monya876, and [livejournal.com profile] babygotbass for the holiday greetings. I didn't fill out my address in any of the holiday card polls floating around so it was a nice surprise.

Now I've got to get to bed. Meetings and work and real life tomorrow!

I don't want to be a grown up today. I want recess and nap time and music class with Mrs. Palumbo. Is that too much to ask? Even for one day?

I've got a crisp dollar bill for anyone who can send me back to 1st grade for 8 hours.
He's just the most adorable boy. Even in the same outfit every damn day, he continues to make me smile. Smile, smile, smile. And he looks happy/content/relaxed. It's so nice to see.

I also really like this one... )

EDIT. And one more. Because, just, damn. )

Nothing else of much relevance. Work, man. I had to talk to a crying employee today about perspective. And I think I need to heed my own advice. It matters. But it's not life and death. Notlifeanddealthnotlifeanddeathnotlifeanddeath.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] luvscratches for the ticket, (Eeeee!), [livejournal.com profile] sweatergurl for the Joey bobblehead, and [livejournal.com profile] eleanor_lavish & [livejournal.com profile] crownzeal for the holiday cards. You all make me smile, too.
