i wish i could remember how to do bullet points...

- I don't know why I forced myself to watch the entire State of the Union address when I knew exactly what he was going to say. Perhaps it was so that I'd feel more justified this morning when I called him an ass.

- I'm really not feeling those new JC photos. The last one isn't bad but the rest of them make me cringe a bit.

- My internet connection is still down at home. Perhaps if I continue my relentless assault on Time Warner Cable, they'll fix it out of frustration.

- I watched a bit of RW: San Diego last night. I'm so moving back there one day. It may not be until I'm 60 but this is official notice to myself.

- The pain of the AI auditions is extreme. What are people thinking?

- I love the DVD extras of Justin on Punk'd. That shit is priceless. I just want to pet him. (Much gratitude to raedoro and timberho for the files.) And krissita wrote up a great little bit about the commentary. Between this and my hopes for "The Butterfly Effect," I may actually start to like Ashton Kutcher again.

Elsewhere...I've read some discussions about the Justin/Punk'd footage. Eh. Perhaps it's because I don't have issues with pranks in the first place but it really doesn't phase me. I was entertained (very entertained) and Justin came out okay. In fact, it was probably the most talked about episode of the series. Besides, they didn't actually air tears. ;)

so the thing is...

When you're in a fandom for a while you become comfortable with certain authors, stay far away from others, and trust recs from specific people.

When you become part of a new fandom, you don't have any of that. Instead, you're stuck with stuff like, "his elven love tunnel."

I need salvation.
