to download or not to download...

It's not actually a question for me. I did download. Now I need to decide if I'm actually going to listen. I've listened to the clips and seen the club show so it's not like I'm completely unspoiled. But I'd like to save something for Tuesday besides the liner notes. Liner notes! And I hope this is the biggest decision I have to make all day. ;)

I'm not surprised or upset that the album leaked. Actually, I expected it. It seems par for the course these days. And I don't see the correlation between an album leaking prior to release and decreased sales. If someone wants to dl the album rather than buy it, they'll probably do so even if it means they have to wait until the day after the release for tracks to become available. I can't imagine that having the tracks 5 days early will change a decision to buy the album unless someone decides they don't like what they hear. I think the problem is on a larger scale than leaked tracks.

In other news, the sports section of USA today has an article about Andy Pettitte along with some photos of him with his family and with Clemens in their Astros jerseys. I'm so sad he's not a Yankee but I'll be loyal to that guy for all his days. Even as an Astro, he's still my favorite.

Watched my tape of JC on Ellen and he looks about as perfect as ever. The boy is stunning, I'm enthralled (enthralled!) with his hair, and I adore the shirt. But, going back to a conversation I had with Stargems, his performances of "Some Girls" probably wouldn't motivate me to buy the album if I wasn't already a fan. The song doesn't showcase his vocal ability or his musicality the way some other tracks do. I'm just dying to hear "100 Ways" on the radio. That should have been his first single. Or "If You Were My Girl." But obviously I don't make the decisions.

I started Angels & Demons on the subway tonight and I think I'm going to crawl into bed and read. I love the the anticipation and excitement of getting into a good book.

Amazingly, I had to delete an icon for this one. This is, perhaps, my favorite photo of Elijah. Though, some smoking pics are a close second. It's definitely not innocent Elijah that does it for me.
