i would have skipped my prom to host snl, too...

The skies opened up as I got out of the subway tonight. I ran in the rain for almost 10 blocks until I got to the bar. By midnight, a friend and I decided we weren't going to battle for late night cabs and headed home. But I absolutely love going to bed to the sound of the rain.

MKA are hosting SNL tonight. I missed the first hour but I have it on tape to watch with Cel tomorrow. The girls are absolutely adorable. I love how they look now that they're playing up their differences. Ashley wears the blonde so well and Mary-Kate is a perfect little retro brunette.

So ADIDAS isn't getting airplay or video play because it's too sexual? (Stamplet has the full letter from Alex Greggs but there's also mention of it in the last 498779875 posts on my friend list.) Has JC said anything about this? I'll save my righteous indignagtion until I have more info but, at this point, I no longer expect rational decisions about movies/tv/radio.

And, slightly of the random, is Patrick Stewart doing a voiceover for Goodyear tires? Love that voice.

Lovely day with the even lovelier stargems. Brunch complete with popovers, a street fair, shopping complete with a gorgeous new dress that Cel found for me, viewing of MKA on SNL, and dinner in the village with the not-boyfriend. It was pretty much the perfect Sunday. Now I need to pack because I'm off to FL again tomorrow morning. Early. (Which probably means I won't pack until midnight.)

lain7 pointed me to this article about a Cannes screening of a movie about Klingon speakers. I solemnly swear not to speak Klingon to my kids.

Then there's mka which is about to self destruct amidst the Mary-Kate anorexia/cocaine rumors. What these hysterical girls need to remember that cannibalism is the truest sign of a functioning fandom. Soon enough there will be a newer and more exciting MKA scandal.
