I'm so excited I can barely stand it.

Background: I lived in San Diego for two years and relocated back to NY with my company three years ago. In the first two years I was back in NYC, I visited San Diego 9 times but it's been a year since I was there. The most peaceful, stress free years of my life were when I lived in San Diego. My excitement may actually be enough to get me through the the fight!

Two of my closest friends took off on Wednesday and Friday and we're going to go to the beach and Balboa Park and Old Town and downtown and PB and I can't flippin' wait. Tomorrow is lunch with [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva and an afternoon with another friend in Huntington Beach. Saturday is a pool party and then VEGAS!

The Hard Rock was booked all weekend so we're staying at the Travelodge on the strip which is fine. We're only in Vegas for 16 hours and a good portion of that will be at the party. I'm all set with my silver sequin pants. (Pants that have gotten far more use than I ever anticipated.) Then back to San Diego on Sunday morning to catch my flight home to NY.

SAN DIEGO!!!
My love for Warren Beatty was sealed in stone in 1990 when I first saw Bonnie & Clyde. An icon is long over due. And, while I was at it, I couldn't resist some old school Emma & Rupert.

I came to work this morning with the best of intentions but my head is already in California. Good thing I've got Jet Blue tv, PoA, and Descent to pass the the hours on the long, long flight.
** Justin & Cameron in trouble? Say it ain't so. Or at least tell me where this rumor comes from.

** Fifteen Minute PoA. Spoilery, of course, but also all kinds of funny.

** About Reagan. Like his politics or don't like his politics. Respect him as a person or don't. He was the president of our country. We elected him twice. I believe the office deserves respect and, having held the office, I believe his death deserves respect. Spending a few days focusing on his assets doesn't mean that people forget or ignore his shortcomings. It simply means that, for a few days, he's remembered for his achievments. And, as one of 43 men to lead our country, I think he earned it.

** I heard that Ashlee Simpson nonsense on the radio today. Her song was #3 on channel 93.3's Top 5 at Nine. Forgettable, irrelevant pop. Please make her go away.

** I also sat through two hours of "For Love or Money" on the airplane. Iwillnotwatchnextweek. Really. I won't.
