i'd buy a palm pilot but i have to set limits somewhere...

My joy this morning was coming in to a clear calendar. I still use a pen and paper planner and, on Sunday nights, always forget whether or not I scheduled client meetings for Monday. I love clear Mondays!

Our Board of Directors annual meeting is this week so the office is a bit on edge. Fortunately, I'm off Wednesday afternoon so I won't actually be here when the BoD is in. Provided there's no strike, I'm seeing a matinee of Bombay Dreams with my mom and aunt. I still plan to take off, however, even if there is a strike. It turns out I have almost three weeks to use by the end of the year. I remember a time when I didn't have enough vacation. Now I'm struggling to find days to take off so I don't lose the vacation time.

Dinner tonight with icebun, evil_man, kittenfishlambs, and thebeamiestface! I'm very excited to meet Ice and Pablo plus there's the bonus of Little Italy. I'm thinking eggplant parm sounds good.

But first, lunch with Cel who's been away for.ev.er. Bonjour isn't the same without you...even when I'm sitting in the corner reading Harry/Snape or, perhaps, especially when I'm sitting in the corner reading Harry/Snape. ;)

Wonderful night out with icebun, evil_man, kittenfishlambs, and thebeamiestface. It was a wet night but, more than that, it was entertaining and fun with fabulous Italian food to boot. It's amazing how a group of people can get together for the first time, knowing each other only from the internet/fandom, and pick up like we've all known each other for years. This is an incredible medium. (Though, after we dropped off Ice and Pablo at the hotel I did tell the cab driver that we all met in England. I don't know...he asked and I didn't want to get into the whole internet thing.)

I got home and harassed my mom about politics for a while. It's so easy to rant at someone who agrees with you. I've got messages to leave for Schumer and Clinton about this ridiculous marriage amendment and then I'm off to bed.

EDIT: My roommate isn't home yet and the dog is just sitting staring at the front door. It's kind of pitiful. I'd give him a biscuit or something if I wasn't so worried he'd start to think I'm a caregiver.
