Met a college friend for brunch on the east side this morning and then walked from 79th and 3rd down to Bloomingdales on 59th. From there, I walked cross town to Central Park, wandered around for a while, headed over to the Tower Records on 66th and Broadway and then walked back up to 96th. It's perfect out today.

At Tower, I replenished some old standards that have been missing from my collection for a while: Madonna (The Immaculate Collection), Billy Joel (Greatest Hits Volumes I & II), Prince (The Very Best Of), and The Beatles (1). I also picked up The Libertines. (A cookie to anyone who can guess which 15 year old influenced that purchase. I have no shame. But, to be fair, it is supposed to be a great album. Does that get me off the hook?)

I took a few photos of Central Park while I was wandering. My favorites are where you can see bits of the city skyline on the outskirts of the park. )

[livejournal.com profile] runerinrun and [livejournal.com profile] mac_girl...Last night the bachelorette party spent some time at Flute. I'd never been there before but I know you always head there when you're in town. It's a great atmosphere but a bit too subdued for a bunch of girls with penis straws. ;)

And [livejournal.com profile] apetslife, [livejournal.com profile] rosetti, and [livejournal.com profile] jalfred, we also hit private room karaoke for about an hour and a half. Did you know there's a place on 55th between Broadway and 8th? This time it was eleven of us packed in a room for 6. Personally, I think "Bye Bye Bye" was the hit of the night.

Tonight is "Jack & Bobby" on the WB. I barely know what it's about but it's one of the few shows this season that I plan to add to my schedule. I hope it delivers.

I've updated my Harry Potter Rec Page.

4 Harry/Snape
1 Remus/Snape
1 Harry/Draco
1 Harry/Ron (weasley fic)
1 Charlie/Oliver (Weasley fic)
1 Trio
2 Harry/James/Sirius (misc pairings)
1 Hermione/Snape (misc pairings)
1 Hermione/Lupin/Snape (misc pairings)
1 Remus/Harry (misc pairings)
2 art recs

If you've read Origins of Myth by Arsenic, run to the Hermione/Snape prequel, Body of Knowledge. I love this Hermione and I love this Snape. Even more, I love them together.

Also, go here over at [livejournal.com profile] orlando_daily for links to all of the Orlando photos that [livejournal.com profile] nuregwen posted. Such a pretty, pretty boy.

"Jack & Bobby" premiere was tonight. *sigh* No spoilers but it's safe to say I'll be watching this all season. What an interesting premise. ([livejournal.com profile] stargems - Only a truly good friend avoids interrupting WB series premieres. :) )
