atlantis redux...

** Tim McGraw has a pre-Thanksgiving TV special on November 24th. It's not quite the same as Tim joining 'Nsync in Atlanta but, this time around, we do get Nelly joining Tim for "Over and Over." Nelly and Tim performing together! Meep!

** I'm waiting for the movers to get here. Sally was a big consideration. I don't want to lock her in the bathroom while the movers are here but she can't be out and about because the front door will be open. Someone at work suggested the lanai which is a great idea. She has space to run around but I can see her through the glass doors. My only concern is that she'll climb the screen and get stuck. But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

** mixedsignal...The Today Show did a segment on gastric bypass surgery? Did you see it?

** Orlando at the Beyond the Sea premiere. He looks great on his own but I love shots of Orlando with Kate.

** krabapple pointed me to a fantastic new Harry/Snape story. The Dreaming Spires by DementorDelta. "Severus Snape gets on with his life after the war." When I started reading I almost thought it was a college AU but there's much more to it and the sex is so, so sensual. Snape's a bit softer than I usually prefer but it works very well within the context of the story.

** jenbeth posted Michael Moore's 17 reasons not to slit your wrist. He may be the only one with the ability to reassure me and make me laugh.

not quite domesticated...

Seven hours of unpacking left my brain (and body) fried. I still have 7 or 8 boxes left but I'm done for the night. Having my stuff here is strange. I knew there'd be a moment when I realized I was staying for a while and this was it. All of my stuff is in Florida. Weird. I also realized that I packed way. too. much. cranberryink...you'd weep at the amount of crap I saved. I never thought I'd say this but the 15 Star Trek TV Guides may have to go.

I had the radio on while I was unpacking and I heard "Over and Over" at least three times. I had no idea it would be released as a single. I love hearing Tim McGraw on the radio with Nelly.

Day five and I overflowed my dishwasher. There were an awful lot of suds. I was having trouble closing the soap holder thing and thought it would be okay to run the dishwasher anyway. I was wrong.

The weekend is shaping up nicely, though. Tomorrow night is an 80's party with a group of people from work and Sunday night I'm going to the Marco Island Film Festival with a friend. We're seeing P.S. Laura Linney and a younger man. It's perfect!

22 minutes to dr. vegas! (Yes, it's a bad show. Yes, I'm still watching.)
