ship opinions...i've got em...

This was around at some point last week but it's a lazy Sunday and what's better on a lazy Sunday than pondering pairings?

1. Comment with any ship from a fandom that you know I like, or at least have some knowledge about (popslash, Harry Potter, The West Wing, House, LotR RPS, LotR RPS, X-Files, Star Trek).

2. I will ramble for (appx.) 100 words about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on what it is.

3. Put this on your LJ, if you are so inclined.

My friend came over for brunch and I intended to hit the gym by 3:30pm but TNT and TBS aired three of my favorite movies today: Dave, The American President, and Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade. I've seen all three movies an absurd number of times and I'll never tire of them. Never, ever! My favorite scene from each:

Dave - "Let me get this straight. We're spending forty-seven million dollars to make people feel better about a car they've already bought?...I don't want to tell some eight-year-old kid he has to sleep in the street because we want people to feel better about their cars. Do you want to tell him that?"

The American President - Ah, the whole scene in the bedroom. Sydney in the men's shirt. President Shephard's slow down plan. It's perfect.

Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade - "But in Latin, Jehovah begins with an I." I love that entire scene from beginning to end. "Only the penitent man shall pass. Only the penitent man shall pass."

I leave on Tuesday for my sister's wedding/cruise juggernaut and I'm starting to pack up. It feels like much longer than 10 months since my sister got engaged and I can't wait for the wedding. And, of course, the cruise! My family is wondering what the hell everyone will talk about when it's over but I have faith that we'll come up with something.

The Gastineau Girls has entertaining moments but the doorman gimmick drives me bonkers. He is the most annoying character on reality tv (except, perhaps, for Brittany Gastineau).
