secret santa goodness!

I just got around to opening the mail that piled up while I was gone and, in addition to a ton of holiday cards (Thank you! Thank you!), I received my secret santa gift. Oh, my goodness, THANK YOU whoever you are! I can't believe how much time you spent putting together something just for me...the little blue box with the planets, the space stickers, the JoeC photo, the CA shells and note cards, the LotR newspaper clippings! And the wrapping! I loved that you used LotR and Anderson Cooper to wrap everything! Squee!

Thank you so much for taking the time to put together such a thoughtful package.

In other news, I intended to make it to the gym by 10:30 so I'm a bit behind. My reward for working out is some pool time. I'm not a huge fan of Florida but I am a huge fan of 77 degree weather in January.

  As cranberryink mentioned when I last updated, with 125+ stories rec'd SGA isn't really a misc fandom anymore. I'll have to work on that.
  
  I did go ahead and clean up all of the Detention links on the Harry/Snape page. Fortunately, there were alternate links for all of those stories. Of course what I'll have to do very shortly is update author names for all of those smutmas stories. Wheeee! There were some really great stories this year and I read some new pairings including a fantastic Moody/Shacklebolt story. I can't wait for the author reveal.
  
  
• I've been watching The Biggest Loser marathon on Bravo for a good portion of the day and, in keeping with theme, 2/3 of the commercials airing are for diet programs. OMG. I am going to spork myself in the eyes if I have to watch that Jenny Craig/Kirsty Alley/Raining Men commercial one more time. I'm glued to this marathon, though. The contestants are losing a staggering amount of weight. The before and after pictures just blow me away.
  
  
• It's been 10 days since I was in the office and I feel tomorrow morning looming. Part of me is ready to go back but another part of me wants to keep snuggling with Sally on the couch. The little thing's been a limpet since I got home on Saturday.
