Before bed I'm going to say a little prayer that the blizzard heading our way doesn't strand me in NY. It's been a great visit but I'll be ready to get on the plane by noon Sunday.

The weather folks say I'm not flying back to FL tomorrow. I refuse to accept that (I want to go home!) but, in case they're better at predicting weather than I am, I booked a flight back on Monday, as well. Here's the catch. Flights from JFK are booked through Friday. Friday! Flights out of Newark are approaching $1K. My only option is to fly to Tampa on Monday and drive 2 1/2 - 3 hours home from there.

I'm passing the time with CSI caps and I really want to read some SGA fic but my family already wonders how I spend so much time on the computer. I don't need them digging around or looking over my shoulder while John has Rodney's cock up his ass. (Though don't we all fear that when we visit home?)

the story goes like this...

My sister and I went to the gym. I left my shiny new ipd, George, on the treadmill. It wasn't there when I called an hour later because some fucking piece of shit thief thought that finders keepers means he or she didn't have an obligation to turn it in to the lost and found. Furious is an understatement. (Both at myself for forgetting it and at the asshole who stole it and now has a serious black mark on his or her karma.) But my sister is a star and suggested we go buy a new one immediately and she even paid half simply because she said she wanted me to put this behind me with a smile on my face. She's the best thing in my world. Truly.

So I have a new ipod, Jed, to go with my car, CJ, and my phone, Leo. (I'm sure I'm not the only one who names inanimate objects.)

The snow is picking up and I'm (almost) resigned to the fact that I will may be here until Monday. In that time, I will continue my search for a CSI/PotTR Gil icon that doesn't have teeny, tiny indecipherable text.
