I am finally cycling back into a gym routine after more months away than I care to count. It feels good - I knew it would - but I wish my Bally's wasn't such a piece of shit. The only reason I joined this overcrowded, outdated gym is because I pass the entrance on my way home from work and I'm lazy enough to skip the gym entirely if I have to make an extra right or left turn.
On the way home, I stopped at store #2 for "Out of Sync." I looked for it over the weekend to no avail and then again today. I know tomorrow is the official laydown but I thought it was a soft laydown and expected copies to be out already. This, of course, means that I actually had to ask multiple sales people if they have the new Lance Bass book and I'm going to admit, straight up, it was difficult to do that with a straight face. The winning response was, "No, but I'm pretty sure we have Taylor Hicks."
A(nother) friend is pregnant so the trip wasn't a total loss. I picked up "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and "Baby Bargains" which was, if I remember correctly, a recommendation from
chasezsshorty.
Tomorrow I'm off to Kansas City for a day of meetings with a major vendor. I'm meeting my boss down there which adds an element of stress because every time I'm in a meeting with her I have the urge to shout, afterward, "I'M DOING MY BEST! VALIDATE ME!"
The good news is, at the end of of the meetings and dinner, I get a
powrhug. It will be the fastest visit in history but fast is better than nothing.
