Let's add this to the schedule:
October 30. Day trip to Detroit.
That's a flight in the morning and a flight in the evening. I fly a lot. A lot a lot a lot a lot a lot. And
dj_writes says I can't have a transporter. Among other potential disasters, he's afraid of the following:
- buffer flush - dead
- pattern lost - dead
- console shorts out - dead
- Klingons torpedo the place - dead
- insect gets mixed into your matrix - Brundlefly
It still seems better to me than my other options.
But! On the positive side, I'm really looking forward to this meeting. And Bri has offered to entertain my friends who are visiting from FL for the weekend and will arrive in NY before I get back.
In a nutshell. Flying = bad. Meeting = good. Friends = good. As long as I don't crash and burn, the good wins.
Boss' day came and went. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that I didn't at least get a card. It's not important in the long run but I try to make this office a positive place to work. FL Counterpart and I spent a long time thinking about what to do for our boss. So, yes. A card would have made me smile. Whatever.
Tonight my mother and step-father are coming into the city for dinner with Bri and her parents who are in from out of town. I love when they take the time to come to the city and see me. I don't ask often and they haven't let me down yet. I guess that's the stuff that does matter.
crownzeal: You cracked me up today. I hope my IT department is reading my e-mail. They'll be much confused about JC/Lenny.
Last thought. Yankees!
