Off to Detroit today. I'm not going to get into my fear of flying except to say that I woke up at 5am in a cold sweat. Something's got to give. I'm medicated for the actual flight but I need something to get me through the hours leading up to the flight as well. Visualization doesn't work because I visualize plane crashes. And vodka doesn't work because I'm in the office. (Okay. So it looks like I did get into my fear of flying. Only 4 more trips in 2003. Bear with me.)
Attended a breakfast this morning celebrating "exceptional women in publishing." There was a very motivating speech from the editor-in-chief of Essence. I love to see women support other women, especially in an industry dominated by white, middle age, men.
