I'm home safe. I was in the aisle seat sitting next to an Austrian couple. Right about the time my tears started, the man next to me grabbed my hand with both of his and stroked my hand, telling me to breathe and promising to protect me. He was incredibly kind and I'm continually grateful to the multitude of strangers who have calmed me down on airplanes.

I showed up at a co-worker's place and they had it all planned so that 'Nsync would be playing when I arrived. They must have burned it before I showed up because this is not an 'Nsync loving group. At all. But I squealed a bit when I walked in and they let me dance around for three songs before insisting that the music change. I have good friends.

Then we headed out to "Club Mix" at Lounge Aja. It's located at the Promenade which makes me think I should be running into the Camdens. Apparently it is also the home of the wild boar from earlier this week. "The Pig of the Promenade." But I digress.

The club was just frightening. The ages ranged from 21 to 71 and the outfits ranged from full on sequins to 5 inch long leather mini-skirts. There was a smoke machine. One woman took her shoes off. And, really, the only reason we stayed wes because it was too funny to leave. The DJ did play a Senorita remix that I made everyone dance to. And someone gave us a free $175 bar tab. So that was nice. But, overall, I'm horrified on behalf of the young people of southwest Florida who have to suffer through clubs like this on a regular basis. It's been a long time since I've heard "Diamond Girl" when I was out dancing.

Now I've got to get ready for Lou Rawls with Cel. Lou Rawls! Lou. Rawls. Do you understand!?!? Lou Rawls!!!
