Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating! I have much to be thankful for and I'll leave it at that.
Yet another wonderful day here in Paris. This one is fairly brief but a hell of a lot of fun. I have a Parisian fiance.
It was an extremely lazy morning but, eventually, my cousin's fiance, the dog, and I made it out for some brunch at the local brasserie. From there, I headed down to the Seine before deciding to visit the Monet museum in southwest Paris. It was a neighborhood I hadn't seen before and the collection of Monet paintings was fabulous. Students from a British art school were taking a tour so I lurked nearby and listed to the tour guide. I also wrote more of my SeSa fic in front of one of his large waterlily paintings. More food after that at another brasserie and then back to the flat to prepare for Thanksgiving.
One of my cousin's friends hosted 12 people in her home for dinner. It was a mixture of French and Americans and there was one young single Parisian who asked me to marry him so I can stay in France. Of course I may not make it to the alter, I do have a message in French on my cell phone to remember him by when I get home.
It was a great dinner with a diverse mix of people. We spent a long time talking about gay rights in the U.S. vs. France and art and music and drugs and fashion and on and on. I left a bit early to meet Lex back at the flat but I think we're meeting up with everyone later.
And JC's video has been viewed! Eventually, I just installed Real Player on the computer here and uninstalled after I saw the pretty. Because God forbid I wait until Sunday. ;) Much love and thanks to
stargems and
powrhug for the links and updates.
Also, I now have my very own copy of Popworld featuring the stunning JC/NYC photo shoot. Thanks so much,
english_muffin! So pretty!
Tomorrow...Musee Rodin, hopefully following another lazy morning.
