Tonight was, hands down, one of the best concert experiences I've ever had. Justin was electric and the crowd was out of control. It was the first time Justin has performed in France/for France and the love & energy & excitement were palpable.
Our seats were on the right side of the stage, about midway back, half way up. The floor seating at Bercy was general admission. I've never seen anything like it. It makes the GA at the club shows look like child's play. There were thousands of people absolutely packed in on the floor. We saw more than one person taken away on a stretcher and security was constantly pulling people over the front barriers. And they all love Justin.
The main differences from the US show were that there is no catwalk and we had some additional material (a brief McDonald's "I'm Lovin' It" interlude and BEP performing "Where is the Love" with Justin).
I don't know if I've ever seen a crowd respond they way this one did. We were at Justin's beck and call...en masse. It had the energy and excitement of a club show. Just multiply the people by 1500 and the decibel level by 1000. The performance of "Where is the Love" had that same club show/improv feel as we've seen. Just magnified. The show felt more relaxed and less timed to the minute than the US shows and Justin performed 1/2 of the show in a red hoodie.
We bounced when he bounced, we waved our arms when he asked us to, and in the greatest show of commercial marketing that I've ever seen, we all "Ba da ba ba ba'd" on demand and with gusto. And I'd do it for him again.
We even got to hear him say, "Merci Beaucoup," much to the overwhelming enjoyment of the French audience.
- Rock Your Body
- Right For Me
- Gone
- Girlfriend
- Senorita
- Still on Your Brain
- Nothing Else
- Cry Me a River (the "bitch" version)
- Let's Take a Ride
- Beatbox ("Let me see you dance, France")
- I'm Lovin' It
- Where is the Love
- Take it From Here ("It feels like 1973")
- Like I Love You
It was a hell of a night. Impossible as I thought it could be, I adore Justin more than ever. Simple, uncomplicated adoration. Seeing him with this international crowd blew my mind. He's one hell of a talent and one hell of a man.
And! Thanks to Candy, there are photos available of Justin arriving at Planet Hollywood in Paris.

I have an mpeg file that I used to record the audio of LILY. It has Justin saying "Thanks for coming out, Paris" and "Merci Beaucoup." If anyone has the ability to convert it to an mp3, please let me know. You'll have my gratitude. Thanks

Tonight was one hell of a way to end a perfect week in Paris.
