I looked back at what I said after JC's Jive showcase and, after seeing his show tonight, the final sentiment is still the exact same: He was born to do this.
JC's talent is staggering. His voice and range are unbelievable and the music on his album showcases it extremely well. After all of these years, I'm still amazed and impressed. And he had fun. You could just tell that he loved being up on stage doing his thing. Time and time again, he broke into a grin that lit up his face and melted my damn heart.
My favorite moments were when he was along on stage just doing his thing. No gimmicks, no choreography...just JC blowing me away. (And his hair was made for this show. God.)
That said, however, I can't get enough of "One Night Stand." I absolutely love that song.
I wish he had a few less obvious sexual "gags" in the show. The "finger & sniff" and a few others don't offend me at all but I don't think he needed them. JC's sexiest moments are with a simple seductive look or slow movement of his hand. A little subtlety goes a long way.
I've got to mention his body. His body. His body. It does it for me. Full out, flat out makes me loopy. His skinny little waist and killer arms and the lines of his body just leave me speechless. Diva hips and fuck me hair. Damn. (And that red shirt that rides up and rides up was a nice touch.)
Edit: Oh! Random. He said, "because...yes" which was so odd and fun. Either a) he really does say that phrase beyond the one time on Leno or b) he knows that his fans latched on to that phrase and humored us. But, yes. Parce que...oui!
The short of it is that he has so much fucking talent and the potential to do whatever he wants. I hope he's making the right choices and surrounding himself with the right people and the fates intervene and put things in place so that he gets whatever it is he's aiming for. Because that's my only wish- that he can achieve whatever goals he's set for himself. The man blows my mind.

mixedsignal and I waited outside in the cold for 8 hours. It was cold. We couldn't feel our feet. And if it wasn't for luvscratches' blankets, we would have left. It was a pretty miserable experience. But luvscratches did have blankets and we stayed and we've promised her our first born and it was all worth it. Every minute of it. For me at least.
Mixedsignal isn't doing so well. She didn't see much of the show and may have the flu and is leaving tonight or tomorrow to drive back to PA. So disappointing, especially after all of that waiting. I am going to continue on to Boston on an 8am bus (probably) so I need to get some sleep.
