I finally watched the tape that [livejournal.com profile] crownzeal sent of AJ & Co. on Oprah. In some odd way, it was just what I needed tonight...the perfect mix of sentimental and hopeful. And I have an entirely different perspective on the Backstreet Boys. (I'd call them "the Boys" but I'm not quite there yet.)

It was just incredible to hear AJ talk so candidly about everything he'd been through and I can't even being to imagine what it was like on the rest of them. Though it says a lot about AJ's strength that he was able to get out of it. It sounds like he's got a lot to be proud of.

I love the dynamic between Kevin and AJ, all of them and Kevin, in fact. It's clear he really is an older brother to the group. And I'd never heard Brian speak before! What a southern boy. He sounds like a preacher. Hearing him mock AJ's clothing was priceless. (I'll admit that Howie & Nick continue to do nothing for me. But to each their own. That's what make the fandom go round.)

It must have been wonderful for their longtime fans to see them all together after all this time, especially in a forum like this.

I'm glad things worked out for AJ. Anything else would have been an unfit ending.

On an entirely different note...[livejournal.com profile] monya876: I'm mailing your CD tomorrow with an extra little treat. [livejournal.com profile] powrhug: Thanks for your text. Truly. :)

L&O: SVU tonight. I'm becoming addicted. Reruns on USA don't help.
