In all my life I've never had as visceral a reaction to a movie character as I do to Aragorn. I understand that he's a bit two dimensional in his rugged, royal perfection but I don't care. I could sit through endless hours of LotR simply to watch Viggo as Aragorn.
Which leads to tonight which was a trip to see RotK with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
eleanor_lavish, thegayboyfriend, and El's train friend. It was even better than the first time which will probably result in a third time.
- Once again I teared up when they lit the beacons. It's so moving and epic.
- I have a renewed appreciation for Eowyn although, unlike someone, I don't believe she was destined for Aragorn and I'm looking forward to the extended edition when we can see her relationship with Faramir develop a bit.
- I can barely watch the scene on the mountain where Frodo leaves Sam. It breaks my heart.
- Aragorn. Just...fuck.
Okay. Guess that wasn't so much after all.
I took tomorrow morning off because I desperately need sleep. I think I may pop in FotR when I get into bed since I don't have to be up until 10 or 11am. Hee!
