Oh, the love! The pure, unadulterated love for all that is Harry Potter.

Fantastic movie! Funny. Mature. True to the spirit of the book. Just...so, so good.

There was such a different feel to this film. It's modernized and approachable in a way that I didn't realize that the other's weren't. It's funny. I don't know if it's the screenplay or the actors maturing or the direction or a combination of the three but it was a truly funny movie. Ron is precious and Hermione is dead on. And Dan. Oh, Dan. Pretty, pretty Dan.

The scene in the Shrieking Shack is probably my favorite. The climax of Sirius, Remus, Snape, Peter, and Harry all together worked as well as I hoped. And Snape slashes Sirius and Remus in a way that almost has to be deliberate.

Another fabulous scene is the one with Remus and Sirius outside by the Whomping Willow when Lupin transforms into a werewolf. It shows the depth of their friendship and the deep history is so obvious in the way Sirius reacts to Remus. Emotional and very well done.

The only thing I think is missing from the film is a scene where Lupin explains to Harry how he knows about the map, the origins of Padfoot, Moony, Wormtail, & Prongs, and the nature of Harry's Patronus charm. For me, it's a key scene for Harry in his development and understand of his father.

Favorite line: "You're supposed to stroke it." Runner up: "Stop bickering like an old married couple."

Overall, I'm thrilled. I'm not one to pick movies apart. I don't expect perfect adherance to canon. I just want to be entertained and see a movie that does justice to a book and characters I love. That's what I got. Now I can't wait to see it again.

Harry!
