When did you first discover Harry Potter?:
Just after Chamber of Secrets came out. I remember the hype for the first book but it wasn't until CoS that I was persuaded to read. And I never looked back.

Were you hooked instantly, or did it take a while?: See above. I was sucked in from the first chapter of PS.

Did you instantly fall in love w/ any specific character?: I'm a Harry girl. From the first instant, I wanted him to succeed and succeed huge. (I'm still pissed he's not a prefect. And I ever get my hands on Umbridge...) I also have a sweet spot for Bill and Charlie Weasley. Long hair and dragons!

Favorite...

Professor: Snape!
Marauder: Sirius
Gryffindor: Harry
Slytherin: Snape (Yes, he counts.)
Hufflepuff: Cedric Diggory
Ravenclaw: Cho Chang
Character overall: Harry

How long did it take you to read...

Book 1: One day
Book 2: One day
Book 3: One day
Book 4: Probably just short of a week.
Book 5: I bought OotP at midnight the day of it's release and held on to it for more than a week before I read it. I think it took me about a week because I was traveling for work at the time.

If you were in Harry Potter...

What house would you be in?: Gryffindor
What would your pet be?: a cat. a grey striped one. named Deke.
What would your wand be?: can mine be phoenix feather?
Who would you date?: Harry & Saturn 4eva. ;)
What would be your fav. subject?: Transfigurations

Other...

How did you feel about you know who dying? (in OotP): I've gotten more upset about it as time goes on and I think about the rest of the books. What a waste.

What are your views on the Dark Lord?: I'd like him to be a little more three dimensional. He's a typical bad guy out to rule the world. But Harry'll get him.

Weasleys or Malfoys?: Oh, god, Weasleys. No question! I'm not a Malfoy girl and, while I can take or leave Arthur, Molly, and Percy, the rest of the clan has my heart.

"The most provacative deletion for fans: the backstory of the Marauder's Map, Harry's magical guide to Hogwarts. The filmmakers beleived the details would work better in a future film."

Well, I'm glad to see that there filmmakers to intend to address this. It's too important to Harry's development and the character dynamics to ignore. Perhaps it can be included when Harry peeks in Snape's pensieve. That would tie things together. (But did that happen in book 4 or 5? I can't remember.)

Off to dinner for my sister's birthday. 25!

EDIT: [livejournal.com profile] eleanor_lavish! From the EW article..."Radcliffe also investigated the sexually explicit Y Tu Mama; producer Heyman subbed for Radcliffe's father, who was too embarrassed to watch the film with his son." Take out Heyman, add Emma and Rupert and you're all set!

And Cuaron on Rupert: "Rupert is not with us. He is in a happier place, called Rupertland. He's a little like Chauncey Gardiner from Being There. Is he a genius...or is he a fool?"
