It's very bizarre to passively participate in an event through photos, phone calls, and texts. I'm sure there was a time when one had to wait for people to come home and share stories and develop photos but that time is long gone. For which, of course, I'm grateful if not a bit unnerved by the sensory overload.

I've been meaning to rec [livejournal.com profile] apod for a while now. It's a daily feed from NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day. Each photo has a full explanation and links. Good stuff.

So, anyway, the other day I was lamenting the loss of the Ink Stained Fingers Archive (which is back up, btw) and [livejournal.com profile] beatpropx provided a great solution. There's a program called getleft that lets you download entire websites to your hard drive. Once you find the document that contains the main page you're set because you can link between pages just as if you're on-line. Fabulous!

I updated the Moonshot main page to link to my Harry Potter recs. I haven't updated the JoeC stuff in a long time but I don't want to take it down. Now the page is officially multi-fandom and I'm in a happy warm place that can only be inspired by porn.

And, speaking of porn, I've also been meaning to mention another guilty pleasure. [livejournal.com profile] thehandbasket It's Dan/Elijah. I know. I know. But it works. And I can't help myself.

Last night was a party in Hoboken hosted by a friend from college and his ex-boyfriend. They've been on again/off again for a while but they own the place together and are attempting to segue into compatible roommates. Best of luck to them with that. Point is, going to Hoboken is a bitch and a half and was complicated by the fact that the trains aren't running downtown this weekend so I had to take the A to 125th and then the D express down to 34th to catch the PATH to NJ. Fortunately, I found three other people willing to split a cab back to NYC at 2:30am. I'm all about public transportation but I have my limits.

The sun's out. It looks like a perfect afternoon for Central Park.
