So, I work right across the street from Bryant Park.
Joey's there today for Broadway in the Park and I didn't expect to go because of a hectic rush of conference calls between 11:30am and 2pm but I was graced with a 20 minute, unexpected break. I had no idea when Joey was scheduled to perform but I shot over to the park just in case. Turns out they're running late and I was able to see his sound check.
Joey! I'd almost forgotten. It's been so long since I've seen him on stage. Hell, since I've seen him in any venue. But there he was in his element and I remembered why I adore him all over again.
I made a mpeg of his performance. He doesn't actually start singing until about 1:30 in. He's little but it's him. And some guy was on the ground pretending to be the plant.
