The 9/11 commission suggests appointing a Security Czar to oversee all aspects of national security and coordinate the budgets and efforts of appx. 14 government agencies. How does this differ from what Tom Ridge is doing? Is it more authority? And how does this differ from what the National Security Advisor does? What are the scope of the NSA's responsibilities? How does that tie into the Secretary of Homeland Security's role? And how does this all fit in with the position recommended by the commission? Does anyone know?
