It was so different from "Scrach" in that it was all about the relationship. In Scratch, the relationship developed as part of the plan to train Harry and defeat Voldemort. So there was that. But I liked the angst. I liked tortured Snape because I never expect to see him at peace. It's such a needy dynamic, though, and it seems destined to implode on itself eventually. I'd love to see a sequel set four years down the road as Harry gets ready to finish his studies in Cairo. I want to see Harry & Snape in this universe as equals and how that changes and develops the relationship. There is such an inquality right now. Harry is so young and they're both aware of it. I liked it. It satisfied me. But I need more set in the future.

Absolutely unrelated, I was researching an MIA client this morning and it turns out she was arrested in Canada for fraud. That will be fun for the lawyers.

And I'm sure I've mentioned this already but I want my copy of GQ now. Patience is completely overrated.
