Earlier today, I was commenting to Titti that one of the reasons I liked GoF so much was that I changed my expectations after PoA. I'm still disappointed that Kloves & Co. ignored the opportunity for Harry to learn about the marauders, the map, and his patronus. Still. So, GoF was all about managing expectations and accepting that the films will never have all of the details the books do. Truth is, I don't think I had to manage all that much this time around. I loved GoF. It hit all the right buttons and, while there were bits and pieces missing that I would have loved to see on screen, it's, by far, my favorite of the four. If only we chould skip OotP all together and go right to filming book 6.
Last night was a party at a friend's house and we spent hours drinking wine and playing Battle of the Sexes which perpetuates every nonsense gender specific stereotype out there. (Though, to be honest, the guys really didn't know anything about rhythmic gymnastics and the women weren't so hot with the fishing questions.) It was fun, though, and the friend lives in the same community so I didn't have to worry about driving. That's a rare pleasure in SW Florida.
I see that CSI is new on Thursday night. Does anyone else think it's weird that they're airing a new episode on Thanksgiving? I thought Thanksgiving was a night for holiday specials and reruns.
