Travel forced me to miss last night's House so I'll have to catch up when I'm back in FL but I did get to spend the night at case de [livejournal.com profile] kiffle. I finally met King. He is magnificent as well as a whole lot of cat. (Thank you for the hospitality, E!)

I had a terrible flight from Amarillo to Houston yesterday. It was bumpy and terrifying and I was a mess - so much so that the flight attendant had her pilot fiance come sit next to me. I really hate flying.

Today I'm working from our NY office before I head to Long Island for the first night of Passover. I love his holiday and no seder will ever feels as right as it does with my family.

When you see this on your friends list, quote Leo McGarry:

"The President likes smart people who disagree with him. He wants to hear from you. The President's asking you to serve... and everything else is crap."
- In This White House

Because when Leo asks, you walk of that cliff...

[livejournal.com profile] fuskeez posted scans of West Wing and House articles from the current issue of TV Guide. I didn't read the House article yet so I can't attest to spoilers but I did read the West Wing article. It's all about Sam and spoilers abound. Sam, oh Sam. My heart is full. I couldn't bear an end to the series without him.(Let's not question the logic that allows me to read this spoilerific article but prevents me from reading the NYT article with one minor throw away spoiler about the final scene. There is no logic to be had.)

Is there a character type that you fall for every time, e.g. the hero, the bad boy, the geek, the anti-hero?

The one who has hidden layers that just need to be drawn out by the right person. The one who has a hard time opening up and letting himself/herself be loved until that person comes along. I can read that story over and over again in almost any fandom.

What about sex in fic--must have; can take it or leave it; how many times can you insert Tab A into Slot B?

I'll read stories without it but I do prefer the payoff. That said, I'll take a well written, well developed PG/PG-13 story over a PWP because I love first time fic and I want the author to take me there.

Slash, het, gen, or give me it all, babe?

Slash, first and foremost. I read a fair amount of het but it has to be a pairing I'm interested in. I'm much more willing to test the waters with slash. (And I don't read gen. I appreciate that I'm missing out on some great fic but it's not what I read fic for.)

Are there any types of stories you crave, i.e. hurt/comfort, humor, AUs, adventure, kink etc?

H/C, AUs (Oh, how I love SGA AUs!), first time fic. I'm a sucker for all of those. (And, of course, my bullet proof kinks.)

OTP--Do you have one, or do you like to read a range of pairings?

I tend to have an OTP for each fandom I read but I also read outside of that OTP.

Bullet proof kink--Do you have any and are you willing to share?

Fisting. Fisting. When it's done right it makes my head spin.
