Hello! I flew to NY on Friday night and was with family & at Toy Fair for the past few days. All the while, I've been ITCHING to talk about this week's BSG which my mother kindly DVR'd for me but I haven't had much time on-line and, quite frankly, I think Maureen Ryan sums up all of the things I need to (urgently, desperately) mention.
Maureen Ryan's episode review. Be sure to read the comments, too.
Maureen Ryan brings questions to the writers.
Okay. I lied. OF COURSE I HAVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THIS KICK ASS EPISODE PACKED FULL OF JAM AND EXPOSITION.
Lalalala. So much awesome. Ellen Tigh is back and in full force and LOOOOOOVED the moment where she was sitting in the goo and her entire past just clicked. Equally awesome wasCavil John. It's like Dean Stockwell hit the motherload and this, this, this is why he's on the show. I also loved the dynamic between Anders and Starbuck and their mutual, but differing, desperation. GAH. I thought the writers and cast did a stellar job delivering that much exposition and mythos in one episode.
I really want to know more about Boomer. How did she go from a Colonial raptor pilot to the woman we saw on the Base Star? How will Anders be when we get him back? How will Ellen react to pregnant Caprica Six? What will come of the reunion between Tigh and Ellen!?! What's the deal with Daniel? Is it possible he is, somehow, Starbuck's father? What's the connection?
I definitely expect that the final five will rebuilt the resurrection technology. I wonder, though, if there's a way to offer it to the humans, too? I'd say so but that offers too neat a solution and I don't quite think that's what we're going to get from RDM.
I will leave discussion about the mythos to Mo Ryan and her commenters. They've cover it all in spades. WOW.

Also, everyone should be listening to the Galactica Watercooler podcasts (but not Ron Moore's episode commentary if you're wary of spoilers).
Come talk to me!
Moving on...many thanks to
withdiamonds for the virtual gift and the kind person who left such thoughtful words in
svmadelyn's annual valentine's day project.
ETA: I haven't said anything about me. Hi! My plane landed at midnight last night so I'm tired and it's a crappy day at work but I'm having drinks with friends afterward which is enough to push me through my exhaustion. I have a busy weekend including RENT on Sunday and an Oscar party Sunday night but, most of all, I'm looking forward to clearing out two weeks worth House, Top Chef, and Criminial Minds from my DVR.
