It was such a beautiful day today, I was determined to do more than unpack and sleep.
I live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and it is a 1.5 mile walk from my apartment to Lincoln Center. It's a wonderful 3 mile walk down there and back so I decided to head down to the Barnes & Noble and Tower Records on 66th and Broadway right across from Lincoln Center.
-- Clearly I have no willpower when it comes to the Chasez charms. Although I was standing in Tower Records bitching about the fact that the BMU single only has the radio edit and the instrumental version, I bought three copies. Three. I'm sure I have two friends who need copies desperately.
-- Did anyone buy the "Cry Me a River" single? Personally, I'm not interested in the CMAR remixes but I'm interested to know what you think of the LILY remixes. That might be enough to get me to buy the single.
-- I bought Dragonfly: An Epic Adventure of Survival in Outer Space by Bryan Burrough. It's about Mir. And Americans. And Russians. I also wanted to buy This New Ocean: The Story of the First Space Age by William E. Burrows but it seems very technical. I don't suppose anyone has read it?
-- CFTC news. I bought my plane ticket. And so did Brianne. Weeeeeee! Brianne's going. We got round trip tickets for $205 from JFK to Ft. Lauderdale. We're staying in Miami but, with such cheap tickets, it makes sense to rent a car in Ft. Lauderdale and make the quick trip down to Miami. It seems early to book a flight, but for $205, we'd be crazy not to.
-- I introduced two of my closest friends last week and they went out on a date last night. A successful date that will lead to a second date. I adore them both so it would be wonderful if this works out. Though I didn't introduce them in a "set-up" situation so I'm still blown away that they connected. Blown away, amused, and excited.
