I went to the evening performance of Rent today. I couldn't help myself.

The funny part today were the fans between the matinee and the evening show. I got to the theater around 4:30 b/c I forgot the time of the lottery for the Sunday evening show. The matinee was just ending and I saw that the barricades weren't up. Peter Jr. was driving today and I saw Dre walking to the Yukon to drive away. They pulled away and it was obvious that Joey wasn't coming out. If that wasn't clear enough, the fact that Dre and Peter Jr. brought back bags of Chili's take-out should have sealed the deal. But about 25 people were still hanging out in front of the stage door. For more than 45 minutes! It was damn cold out and they were all just standing there so, eventually, I went over to them and explained that Joey was not going to come out between shows. They didn't believe me. Idiots. Like I'm going to tell them that so I can keep Joey to myself or something. Some of them were pretty upset. This was the one show they were going to and it was their only chance to see Joey. I told them they should just hang around until 10pm when Joey would exit the theater but they just grumbled, some girls cried, and eventually they all left.
What else? Oh, yeah. I was talking to Stu James (Benny) after the show and I reminded him that we had met at the club on Tuesday. He said, "Oh yeah! I have a picture of you with Pete." That made me giggle a bit. I enjoy the thought of Stu getting his film back and seeing me in one of the pictures. *grin* I also found out that Stu moves so well b/c of a gymnastics background. I am having serious Stu issues. I think it was the pimp outfit that did me in.
God, I love Rent.
