Let's see how quickly I can update so that I can clean, pack, and run to an ATM before bed. It's already 9:35pm and I have to get up at 5am to catch my flight to California. Whoo hoo! HOB, here I come.
I went to see La Traviata at the Lincoln Center today (New York City Opera). I go once a season with my step-father. This spring is La Boheme. It was fantastic. Everyone should to go the opera at least once. My favorite is still Carmen.
After the show, I went down to the Nederlander to meet up with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
nyborn and dj_writes. I got there as the show was letting out and I swear Mel and CD were the last ones out. I was sure that they either a) didn't make it to the show, b) were eaten by Joey, or c) bought Joey. I'll let them tell you where they were when they write their recap.
It was great to catch up with them both.
When we met up, Mel surprised me with a little gift. She burned "Blowin' Me Up" on a CD along with the entire interview. I'm very excited because now I can listen to it over and over and over on the flight to CA. (I hate to fly so any distraction is welcome. JC distractions are even better.)
After buying gifts for Mel's family, we took the subway down to Little Italy for some eats. Great italian food. Even better conversation. Lots to talk about from that DC Celebrity concert we all went to. (I'm sure thatmadamshazam and trickysdiva could add their perspective as well.)
After dinner, we headed back to my place and watched some of the 'Nsync 'Ntimate Holiday Special. *g* And then Mel and CD headed to the subway. (I hope you made your train!)
Now, I have to start packing and getting my act together. How the hell am I going to sleep between now and Tuesday???
