I'm told JC is doing a photo shoot in NYC on Friday or Saturday but I didn't investigate any further. Does anyone know what it's for?

Clearly I made it safely back to NY. Thanks to everyone who sent good thoughts for my karma. :) Of course, it's always a pleasure when Newark Airport loses the entire plane's luggage for an hour. The entire plane's luggage! NJ- go figure.

And, man, it really did snow up here. The piles of snow are huge. And very dirty. Some are higher than city busses. That shit's going to be melting for a long, long time.

Nick Carter concert tonight. I still find it hard to believe I'm going. Liz lent me the CD which I still haven't listened to. But open mind...yes. Now I just have to figure out the travel logistics since the concert is somewhere in NJ.

Oh, and my ticket for Saturday night arrived so it looks like that's good to go. Weeeeee!

Don't forget to vote for BMU on TRL. And call at 3:30pm, EST: 1-800-342-5688. Press 1-522.

PS- Still love my new JoeC icon very much! And Tim McGraw in DC!!! Thanks [livejournal.com profile] dreamtrance!
Blender truly is my guilty pleasure.

I’ve already posted about the Tim McGraw “Ask the Superstar” feature, mentioned some of the people the magazine chose as the sexiest women in music, and of course, there was the amusement over my letter to Blender but, this issue, the magazine even peaked my interest in Shakira. I never thought it possible.

I’m not prepared to type out the entire interview but there are certainly quotes to highlight:

“If a 25 year old woman tells you she isn’t flattered to be chosen the sexiest woman in music and put on the cover of a magazine like Blender, then I’m sorry, but she is lying,” she says. “ Of course it’s flattering. I can not deny that. And it is something to tell my children. Especially when I am old and covered in cellulite, which will happen one day.”

And then there’s a Q&A Rob Thomas who I already dig, though now I have a burning desire to rent some porn with him:

OK, so describe your taste in sex.
“Um, slightly deviant. I like it a little on the dirty side.”

And a quote from “Nikki Sixx, Motley Crue member turned Backstreet Boy songwriter, ‘It’s a lesson in letting go.’”

Plus, they love moe. For over a year, my friend SL has been telling me that moe. is the best jam band ever. She’s trying to expose me. I’ve been fighting her. Maybe I was wrong. Funny that I need Blender to convince me.

But this magazine is constantly turning me on to new music. Never listened to Jurassic 5 before Blender. Or The Donnas.

It’s entertaining, sarcastic, informative, intelligent…

Before you ask, no, I am not a paid sponsor. I just love this fucking magazine. It is the only magazine I actively seek out when each issue goes on-sale.

And, coming from someone who works for a magazine distributor, that’s saying a lot.

To quote the quote on the spine of this month’s issue: “After all this, won’t you give me a smile?”

What kind of venue is called the Hunkabunka Ballroom?

I'm keeping an open mind. Some people around here seem to enjoy the kid's ass.

And that "Help Me" song was kind of catchy.
