(no subject)

Tonight I have a hair appointment at Ouidad, a salon exclusively for people with curly hair. The price of a haircut is somewhat staggering but everyone I know who's gone there raves about it. Apparently they teach a technique for managing curls and have their own line of very effective hair products. They also know how to cut curly hair so that it falls well. It seems like a good investment before my move to an area with 95% humidity. If I really like what they do, I'll schedule future hair appointments around trips to NY.

The Yankees are driving me nuts. If they don't close it out tonight I may weep. What good is a 3-0 lead if it goes to game 7?

News broke today that Mary-Kate left school for more treatment for her eating disorder. It's definitely bringing a face to eating disorders in a way that Tracy Gold didn't quite manage. I wish her lots of luck. I can only imagine the added stress of trying to recover in public. (I also wonder how Ashley's doing but I won't get into that because I'm only willing to admit to a certain level of investment in the well being of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. *g*)

marauders era fic...

I'm aiming to break my aversion to marauders era fic and looking for recs. Any favorites?

I'm not entirely averse to Peter but James, Sirius, Remus and Snape are more my style. Of course Regulus and Lucius work, too.
