(no subject)

** I'm going to actively miss Tom Brokaw. He's my news guy. Matt and Katie in the morning. Tom in the evening. Do we know who's replacing him?

** I haven't exercised since I moved to FL and, obviously, I walk a lot less than I did in NY. I was starting to feel mushy and sloth-like so, last night, I packed a gym bag before I left for work and went straight there when I left the office. It felt so good to work out. It was like my body was screaming at me to move. I can't wait to make this part of my regular routine. It's not even a weight issue. Every little thing is better when I'm working out and in shape.

** Sally is obsessed with my toilet and, this week, she fell in. I keep the lids down normally but she's a sneaky little girl and found her opportunity. I dumped her in the sink and washed her off which I thought would be a deterrent but I think she actually likes water.

** Hearing about Lacy Peterson's mother's testimony at Scott Peterson's sentencing is heart breaking. No mother should go through that. Similarly, it so sad about Teddy Ebersol. 14! The idea of anyone dying in a plane crash terrifies me. And I've always liked Susan St. James. What a nightmare for that family.

** There are so many recs to read. I wish I could stay home all day and curl up with fic. crack_broom and the Bill/Remus FQF and Bethbethbeth's recs. Want to read! Don't want to work!

And Lost! Oh, my god. Oh, my god. This show is so good. The twists and turns are flippin' fantastic.

I've discovered that, while I love having my own washer and dryer, I still hate doing laundry.

And, unrelated, every time I hear "Suds In The Bucket" I think of Sara Evans singing at the GOP convention this summer. Bah.

Thanks to jenbeth78, I saw the repeat of Brian Williams on The Daily Show. What did Jon Stewart say? "The day you say what you really think on air will be the best day of my life?" Something like that. Great, great interview. I was very impressed with Williams. It almost took out the sting of seeing Brokaw sign off.
