Let me get this out of the way first. Sting is so fucking sexy. He came out in a black pinstripe suit but, one song into the show, removed the jacket and performed in a black wife beater and the pinstripe pants. His arms, man. A 21 year old would be lucky to have those arms.

But, the show...

It was at the Hammerstein Ballroom which holds about 1000 people. We had general admission floor tickets and, after debating a bit, decided to watch the show from the back by the sound booth. It's a very small venue and we didn't want to be pressed in the crowd. It worked out very well for me because I was able to sit on the barrier in front of the sound booth and get a view over everyone's heads.

Sting's voice is so pure and clear. It blew me away. There are some musicians who record well in the studio but don't have equally solid live performances. Sting's voice is Sting's voice in any forum and it comes through in every note he sings.

He performed a lot of material from the new album which was not a surprise since this was a special event to celebrate the release of the album. I loved the new music. Seeing it live was an incredible introduction and now I can't wait to get the album. He also performed "Fields of Gold," "Desert Rose," "I'll Be Watching You," "Fragile" and some others. "Fragile." Shit, I love that song. He ended with it and it was perfect.

Visually, the show was stunning. The lights and the images and the entire presentation was striking. Sting is a class act. What a night!
