Just yesterday I discovered the joys of dollar stores. I didn't grow up with one in my neighborhood and so they just weren't part of my experience up till now. But there's a 99 cent store next to my office building and, yesterday, I went in looking for a snack. Good god! They have everything. For a dollar! Food and toys and office supplies and hair spray and more food. Tuna and yogurt and Diet Sprite. All this great stuff. For a dollar. It's a simple concept but somehow I never got it. Why didn't anyone tell me? It's a whole new world. I'm going to be their biggest customer. Do you have any idea how much crap I got for $18? Little boxes of cereal are 2 for 99 cents. I'm in heaven.
I think I finally grew up or something. Last night I was sitting around watching L&O:SVY and NYPD Blue and Newlyweds and I thought to myself that, even though Justin would surely be at Suede, there was no way I was going out at midnight on a Tuesday. There's too much to do today. My how things change.
Out of the office for meetings most of the day today. A FL co-worker, originally from TN, is in town for the meetings, too. He's never been to NYC before and wanted to rent a car for his trip. Silly boy.
I'm going to ignore this whole Arnold thing.
And tonight the new roommate is coming by to sign the lease. So, tomorrow the new lease should be in the mail to the rental agency. I still need a couch. And an entertainment center. And pots and pans and dishes. But I have a roommate which is a damn good start.
Last, simply b/c I have little else better to do at this moment, I revised my Harem of 6:
- JC Chasez
- Brandon Boyd
- Johnny Depp
- Peter Facinelli
- Lance Bass
- Justin Timberlake
