Since I didn't want to editorialize when I originally posted the quote, I'll say this now and be brief. Parts of it may sting, but none of it surprises me. Particularly the fact that he prefers his solo work over earlier group work. To me, that seems like a natural progression/reaction for an artist. Also, print articles like this one are invariably influenced by the interviewer's perspective. And I'll leave it at that because it wasn't the point of this post.
