It came! It came! Thank you,
kirsch!
I'm now the proud owner of Road to Celebrity on DVD. I can barely describe my emotional attachment to this show and I'm so excited to finally have a copy.
There are so many amazing memories...making signs to decorate our car the night before...learning the choreography to "Pop"...arriving at Qualcomm at 6am so we could be one of the first 100 cars and get an advance copy of "Celebrity"...meeting people even crazier than we were who completely destroyed their cars for the opportunity to be on the show with 'Nsync...listening to soundcheck for the show...waiting out in the hot, hot sun for hours before it started...seeing them up close for the very first time...all of the downtime moments during the 3 hour taping when they just goofed off with each other and us...getting fried in the sun...the fucking energy man...tailgating in the parking lot after the taping...the concert that night...the whole damn day.
It wasn't just being there, it's the people I shared it with and the simple excitement of being in San Diego with my friends to see our favorite group tape an MTV special. No drama, no angst. It was pure, yo.
Road to Celebrity will always put a smile on my face.
And, in the spirit of it all, some photos/caps.
