I've been waiting for the perfect Justin/Cam picture and I have it. I absolutely love these two together in a "spend their lives together and one day have many babies" kind of way. I think their chemistry is fantastic and they always look so happy and content together. Makes me smile.
A bunch of other things:
- Michael Jackson is crazy. Certifiably crazy. I've never met the man and yet I'm perfectly comfortable laying this judgment on him. He was my first celebrity "fixation" and I will always think fondly of MJ the early 80's but the fact that this guy is raising children frightens the hell out of me. I find it difficult to believe he's a fit parent.
- "Bill MacPhee, himself a schizophrenia sufferer, said the cover does nothing to help eliminate the stigma of mental illness." from here in an article about JC's choice of album covers.
I've thought a lot about this since I learned the title of the album and even more since I've seen the cover. As I commented in
foxmonkey's journal, he's absolutely right. It does nothing to eliminate the stigma. I'm not sure, though, if we can extrapolate that to mean that it perpetuates the stigma. Or what his responsibility is in either case.
- So, Outkast. They're on the cover of the April issue of Blender. I just finished the article and I'm pretty darn bummed which made me think of a post
trixiesfic made back when we were all in a twit over something or another. I want Outkast to be best friends in real life. I want them to want to record together forever. Forever-ever. But the reality is that, right now, that's not what Dre wants. And it is what Big Boi wants. Which creates a whole lot of frustration and sadness and anger and confusion for them both. If I let go of my personal fangirl desires for they way I'd like their lives to play out, it's incredibly interesting to see the reality of the situation.
Now I've got to finish working (from home!) and get ready for a night out with Ms.
stargems. Free food. Free booze. Great company!
EDIT: Billy! Singing on Sharon. Holy crap he's fantastic.
