** I suggested that we have an office potluck and the idea took off with the caveat that everything we bring in is homemade rather than store bought. Which means I need to cook. Which I don't do. So I settled on mac & cheese from a box which really is one of God's greatest inventions and, in my book, counts as home made since it involves more than 2 ingredients and the use of my stove.

eleanor_lavish took me to dinner tonight. We did not have a Kevin Bacon/Kyra Sedgwick sighting. That was all El's at lunch. But we did have food and beer and cider and a rousing rendition of "El & Saturn as 'Nsync as The Bee Gees." And of course there was also sufficient popslash/LotR squee but only one of us was wearing a Merry/Pippen t-shirt. (See icon and guess which one of us it was.) After dinner, El accompanied me to Gristedes to buy the mac & cheese ingredients and then to Hollywood video where she thoroughly enabled. End result: Pirates of the Carribean, Harry Potter:CoS, and LotR: TTT Theatrical Release. (El...go here. You don't even have to read fic. But when you do read the fic, I know you know what pairing to start with. :p)

viggorli. It's up to part 28 and, despite the fact that it's an AU set in 1840's Idaho, I'm sucked in. The problem is that the author, in an attempt to turn out the fic more quickly, has decide to stop sending chapters to her beta prior to posting. It started off strong and the plot is somehow working for me but the grammatical/punctuation/spelling errors are grating on my nerves. There's only so much I can take but I need to know how it ends!
** There are four 100 Ways JoeC stories with my name on them. Four is not 23. But four is more than zero.
** While I never had much use for Eric Bana, his Orlando impression on The Tonight Show may have won me over.
** It's raining. I kind of want to crawl into bed and go to sleep while I can still hear it outside. I love going to bed when it's raining out.
