My absolute favorite scene from TTT is when Aragorn arrives at Helm's Deep and meets up with Legolas. I'm almost embarrassed to say how often I watch it. There's so much depth and emotion in such a short scene. [livejournal.com profile] pseudonihilist has deconstructed that scene frame by frame. It's perfect. It's perfect and I'm a big bundle of joy. Check it out. Joy!

A BBC article reports that JK Rowling backs Harry Potter fan fiction. I love that she embraces her fans and fandom and understands the intense connection that people have to the universe she created. The spokesman for Christopher Little did say, however, that, "writers had to ensure that the stories were not obscene and were credited to the author and not to JK Rowling. He said: 'The books may be getting older, but they are still aimed at young children. If young children were to stumble on Harry Potter in a an x-rated story, that would be a problem.'" That's interesting because it doesn't stress a problem with slash, per se, simply adult rated stories. I wonder how she, or her agent, would respond to a direct question about PG rated fiction that develops a relationship between m/m or f/f characters. Has she ever addressed slash directly?
