Bravo is currently airing my favorite episodes of The West Wing. "Stirred" was on last night...the one with Mrs. Morello and Charlie's tax refund and discussions to replace Hoynes. And "Dead Irish Writers," my all time favorite, was on last week...Abbey's birthday party with Jed's toast and Donna is Canadian and the first lady gets the girls toasted. This is the season I need on DVD. Everything was so sharp and smart.
I never thought I'd do it but I found a Jed/Leo fic page and I started reading. I have to admit I enjoyed Leo McGarry's Famous and Yet Deadly Secret Cure For Nerves. Enough that I'll probably read some more. Jed & Leo. It is to shudder but, oddly, it also works. What I still need is some good CJ/Toby. And more Sam/Josh.
I also need more Harry/Snape. I know I haven't read everything but I feel like I've read everything good which is also unlikely.
I put everything in place for our office trips to the GMA and Today Show Summer Concert Series. I worked it out so that, on any given summer Friday, three people can go to a show and come in late. There's a sign-up sheet in the office kitchen so everyone will know when slots fill up and we'll have pre-arranged meeting spots. I'm down for Maroon 5, Usher, BEP, and Tim McGraw. Maroon 5 is this Friday. Can't wait!
