I've been meaning to mention that I finally read Tissue of Silver. It was a good, solid read, no doubt, but it wasn't my favorite of the four H/D stories I've read. (I'm enjoying a nice slooooow introduction to Harry/Draco.). I'm intrigued by the number of people who mentioned that it's one of their favorite stories across all fandoms. What, specifically, engendered that reaction? Harry's interest in men came on too suddenly for me. I didn't believe it as much as in some other stories I've read where a character thinks they're straight until their love of cock is awakened by a suddenly irresistible friend or foe.
I enjoyed The Goodness of Their Hearts and Transfigurations much more both for the evolution of the plot and the characterizations. I like to see a Post-Voldemort Harry who's a bit broken they way we did in The Goodness of Their Hearts and I loved the dynamic between Harry and Draco in Transfigurations. It's exactly as I imagine that relationship would play out.
I'm starting to see the appeal of the pairing where I didn't before. My interests lie entirely in post-Hogwarts fic but I suppose I should have known I'd be sucked in eventually. (Snape/Neville is another situation entirely no matter how well written the story.)
What do you know? An entire post about Harry/Draco. Here's a Harry/Snape rec to put my world back on its axis.
